All UAMS employees, students and volunteers have one more week to get their mandatory flu vaccinations. The deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 15.

All personnel, students and volunteers are encouraged to take advantage of the campus vaccination clinics. Lines will likely be long during the last week, so beat the rush and go before then.

Upcoming Clinics:

  • Thursday, Nov. 9 – 6 a.m.-1 p.m., Education II, Room G137
  • Monday, Nov. 13 – 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Hospital Lobby Gallery
  • Wednesday, Nov. 15 – 6 a.m.-1 p.m., Cancer Institute 10th floor rotunda/atrium

Compliance with the mandatory flu vaccine policy is a condition for employment at UAMS in accordance with the Administrative Guide Policy.

medical or religious exemption may be requested. It will be evaluated by Human Resources and/or Student & Employee Health Office on a case-by-case basis. The two-page form must be signed by your primary care physician if you are requesting a medical exemption. Religious exemptions are required to be re-submitted annually and will be reviewed by the UAMS Office of Human Resources.

Flu-shot tags will be given at the vaccination clinics. If you get your shot elsewhere, bring proof of vaccination to the Student and Employee Health clinic to pick up your tag. This tag MUST be displayed on your badge.

After Nov. 15, all employees, students and volunteers must either display a flu-shot tag on their badges or wear a mask. However, employees who do not get the flu shot and are not granted an exemption will be subject to disciplinary measures.

NOTE: Employees working outside of Pulaski County may receive their vaccine at one of the Regional Centers. Please contact the employee health nurse at your local Regional Centers to arrange for your vaccine.
