Thank you for your interest in residency/fellowship programs at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). UAMS trains over 600 house staff in over 59 accredited specialty and subspecialty programs.

For useful information on program eligibility, please visit our Requirements page.

Recruitment is coordinated by each individual program. For list of programs see our GME programs page.  If you have any questions related to your program application or the interview process please contact the coordinator of the program to which you are applying. You can find their contact information in our Program Directory.

Although most program applications are made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), some programs accept applications directly. Check individual programs for specific application guidelines.

Individuals applying for any of our programs must hold an appropriate degree for the program to which they apply. If you hold a foreign medical degree, a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is also required. In addition to these institutional requirements, each program has specific eligibility requirements that must be satisfied.

If you have any questions about GME at UAMS, please feel free to contact  AskGME@uams.edu.
